Bands are horizontal areas on the page. They are containers (like the Page object) for the text and graphic objects of the highest level. Each band has its own purpose. The bands appear on the page in the following order:
Page header | printed at the top of every page; printing on the first page depends on corresponding band property |
Report title | printed once on the first page |
Column header | printed on every page; main purpose is output of database fields' titles |
Group 1 header | printed each time, when the new group of the first level begins (if grouping expression 1 specified) |
Group 2 header | printed each time, when the new group of the second level begins (if grouping expression 2 specified) |
Group 3 header | printed each time, when the new group of the third level begins (if grouping expression 3 specified) |
Data | printed for each record in the database; main purpose is data output |
Group 3 totals | printed each time, when the current group of the third level ends (if grouping expression 3 specified); main purpose is placing the group 3 totals |
Group 2 totals | printed each time, when the current group of the second level ends (if grouping expression 2 specified); main purpose is placing the group 2 totals |
Group 1 totals | printed each time, when the current group of the first level ends (if grouping expression 1 specified); main purpose is placing the group 1 totals |
Page totals | printed on every page; main purpose is placing the page totals |
Totals | printed once on the last page; main purpose is placing the report totals |
Page footer | printed at the bottom of every page; main purpose is output of the system information (e.g. page number, current date and so on) |
